Autoimmune Nutritionist
Personalised nutrition & lifestyle support for autoimmune diseases & autoimmune symptoms, using functional testing where appropriate, to help you understand triggers and optimise your health.
You might be here because you’ve tried to “do the right thing” for your autoimmune condition; but the advice has been conflicting, and symptoms still come and go. Many people end up stuck between restriction, guesswork, and hoping the next change will be the one that helps.
Autoimmune conditions are complex, and what works well for one person doesn’t always translate to another. Rather than a one-size-fits-all “autoimmune diet”, we look at your individual drivers; including gut health, inflammation, blood sugar regulation, stress and sleep, hormone patterns, and environmental exposures. Where appropriate, I recommend targeted testing to reduce guesswork and tailor your plan.
Integrate Nutrition supports adults who are dealing with:
Fatigue and low stamina, especially when it doesn’t match your lifestyle
Digestive symptoms (bloating, constipation/diarrhoea, reflux, food reactions)
Autoimmune Flares that feel unpredictable (pain, swelling, stiffness, headaches)
Skin symptoms (itching, rashes, eczema/psoriasis-type patterns)
Brain fog, mood changes, poor sleep, or feeling “wired but tired”
Results you don’t fully understand (e.g., antibodies, inflammatory markers, nutrient gaps)
My role is to help you build a practical plan that fits your life, supports steadier symptoms over time, and helps you feel more in control — without unnecessary restriction..
Book a complimentary clarity call with Integrate Nutrition so we can discuss your symptoms goals and what support you’d benefit from.
Autoimmune nutrition support: the focus
Autoimmune conditions are complex, and symptoms rarely have a single cause. The aim isn’t perfection or permanent restriction — it’s identifying the factors that are most relevant for you, then building a plan you can sustain.
Autoimmune diets and food strategies
You may be looking for a specific “autoimmune diet”. In practice, the most effective approach is usually the least restrictive strategy that still produces meaningful change, tailored to your symptoms, history and preferences.
Depending on what’s going on for you, we may focus on:
improving meal structure, protein and fibre to support steadier blood sugar and appetite regulation
reducing ultra-processed foods and dietary patterns that worsen inflammation for you
short-term, targeted elimination work only when appropriate (with structured reintroductions)
identifying your triggers rather than blanket restriction
The goal is clarity and consistency, not chasing the “perfect” plan.
I support adults with a range of autoimmune presentations (for example thyroid autoimmunity, inflammatory skin conditions, joint symptoms and gut-driven patterns). If you’re unsure whether your situation is a fit, we can cover that on a clarity call.
“Jenny has been an amazing support in helping me manage some autoimmune health issues I’ve been struggling with for some time. I had tried multiple food plans, diets, and supplements in the past based on my own research with not much luck. Having someone leading you, supporting you, and explaining things from a nutritionist’s point of view is priceless! Thank you, Jenny.”

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Nutrition can’t “cure” autoimmune disease, but it can meaningfully influence symptom severity and stability by supporting factors such as blood sugar regulation, gut function, nutrient status, inflammation load, sleep, stress physiology and overall resilience.
The aim is to identify what’s most relevant for you and build a plan that’s effective and sustainable.
-
Yes all consultations are conducted online so I support client across the UK, Europe & even internationally.
-
At Integrate Nutrition I support adults with a range of autoimmune conditions and autoimmune-type presentations by focusing on modifiable drivers such as gut health, inflammation load, blood sugar regulation, nutrient status, stress and sleep patterns, hormone signalling, and environmental exposures (with functional testing where appropriate).
Examples include:
Hashimoto’s thyroiditis / thyroid autoimmunity
Rheumatoid arthritis
Psoriasis / psoriatic arthritis
Inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis)
Coeliac disease (gluten-related autoimmunity)
Multiple sclerosis (MS)
If your condition isn’t listed, you’re still welcome to get in touch — I can let you know whether I’m the right fit and what type of support would be most appropriate alongside your medical care.
-
Yes. Many people seek support before they have a clear label as it can takes years in some cases to be diagnosed.
If you’re dealing with symptoms such as persistent fatigue, fluctuating digestive issues, joint or muscle pain, skin flare patterns, brain fog, headaches, or unexplained inflammation markers, we can focus on building a structured plan around the foundations that often make the biggest difference.
Where appropriate, I can also help you prepare for GP or specialist appointments by identifying patterns, clarifying your symptom timeline, and discussing which standard blood markers are commonly considered — while always staying within the scope of nutrition and lifestyle support (I don’t diagnose medical conditions).
-
When restriction doesn’t help, it’s often because the main drivers aren’t being prioritised (or the plan isn’t sustainable). My approach focuses on:
getting the basics working (meal structure, protein/fibre, blood sugar stability)
reducing ultra-processed foods and identifying individual triggers
supporting gut function and nutrient status
building a plan that adapts to your real life, stress and sleep
Testing can also be used where appropriate to reduce guesswork and target the next step.
-
Where appropriate, yes. Testing is optional and guided by your symptoms and history. This can include comprehensive blood markers, and sometimes functional tests such as stool testing or other targeted assessments, depending on what’s most relevant. The goal is always to use results to prioritise actions — not to test for the sake of testing.
-
We’ll go through your comprehensive health questionnaire covering goals, symptoms, medications, supplements, family history, and bodily systems. Following the first session you’ll receive your case summary as well as a nutrition plan to get you started. You may receive functional testing recommendations to help further personalise your plan.
-
It varies. Some people notice improvements in things like energy, digestion or cravings within a few weeks, while other changes can take longer — especially if symptoms are severe, longstanding, or treatment is ongoing. The focus is on steady progress and building a plan you can maintain, rather than quick fixes.
-
Yes — Integrate Nutrition support is designed to complement medical care, not replace it. Nutrition and lifestyle strategies can be helpful alongside medication, and if anything needs medical input (for example medication changes or symptom red flags), I’ll advise you to speak with your clinician.
-
Not by default. Food and foundations come first, and supplements are used selectively, based on your needs, preferences, budget, and (where relevant) results. If supplements are recommended, the aim is to keep them purposeful and reviewable. In some cases certain supplements are recommended to take on a long term basis.
-
You’re likely a good fit if you want a structured, personalised approach and you’re open to working on foundations like nutrition, gut health, metabolic health, stress and sleep — without relying on extreme restriction. A short clarity call is the simplest way to confirm fit.
